Aerodrome Operator
The Aerodrome Operator is the organisation/company or person who is responsible for operating and maintaining an aerodrome or heliport.
The Operator is responsible for nominating Registered Originators (see next page ) and advising Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) of changes to their contact details.
Registered Originators can submit information for publication. They may be registered as:
AIPNZ AUTHORISED |
permitted to request changes to published data in the AIPNZ. |
and / or |
|
NOTAM AUTHORISED |
permitted to request the issue/cancellation of NOTAMs. |
There must be at least one (and can be several) Registered Originator(s) for an aerodrome. An Operator may also be a Registered Originator.
Change of Operator
When an Operator no longer continues to be responsible for an aerodrome they must advise AIM. (see Contacts)
The existing Operator should complete the Change of Operator Form and include the contact details for the new Operator.
Change/Nomination of Registered Originator
The Operator is responsible for notifying AIM of any change to the details of a Registered Originator. A form is provided for this. Note that AIM will request verification annually of authorised originators.
