Airways Corporation of New Zealand Limited is a State-Owned Enterprise established under the State-Owned Enterprises Act 1987. Airways provides services on a commercial basis under that Act and is also authorised by Section 99 of the Civil Aviation Act 1990 and under Part 172 of the Civil Aviation Rules to provide the airways services covered by these Standard Terms.

Amendment contents

Amendments are currently issued every 56 days. This follows the ICAO AIRAC cycle, which is every 28 days but every other cycle is missed out. The first amendment in 2008 will be effective on the 14th of February, further amendments will follow at 56 day intervals.

Amendments are numbered annually starting at 1. So the amendment with the effective date of 14th February 2008 will be no 1/2008.

In certain circumstances an amendment may be issued at an interim 28 day period.

Holders of the AIP will only receive amendments if they subscribe to the Amendment Service. (See AIP Shop for more on subscribing)

Amendments are dispatched to be with subscribers at least 28 days before they are due to become effective.

Thus, if an amendment has an effective date of the 24th November 05 it should be delivered to all subscribers before the 26th of October 05. (In cases of extensive change to airspace or procedures this period is extended to 56 days)

AIP amendments may not be issued every 56 days. A NOTAM is issued on the effective date of each 28 day AIRAC cycle, stating when the next amendment will be issued.

The amendment service for all volumes includes AIP Supplements and AIC. In addition, subscribers to Volume 2 & 3 will receive the IFR Enroute charts when they are updated twice yearly.

No amendment service is currently available for Visual Navigation Charts and this is not anticipated.

Wellington Anniversary Monday 23 January is Wellington Anniversary. AIM will be closed on this day. Any customer queries and orders placed over this long weekend will be handled on Tuesday 24 January. Digital Charts. NZ visual navigation chart imagery effective 17 NOV 11 will be available via the iPhone/iPad application Air Navigation Pro from Xample. The NZ charts can be purchase via the Map Store that is integrated into the application. Download from the Apple App Store or see www.xample.ch for more details. VNC, VPC and NZ Enroute Charts. These charts are now current as at 17 November 2011. All 2010 VNC and VPC, and 2 June 2011 NZ Enroute charts are now obsolete and are not to be used for navigation.
